As a woman who achieved success in leadership roles, Melanie is passionate about telling women's stories and encouraging women to pursue careers in the film industry. She is currently a mentor with Women in Film, Los Angeles and authored a practical advice book about her experiences titled, Below the Line, a film crew survival guide.
